Here we are again! Another Spring semester has fallen upon us. CLEAT UP AND HEAD OUT THE FIELDS! IT’S TIME FOR SOME ULTIMATE!

Practices this year:
Monday 4:00p-dark
Friday 2:00p-5:00p
As always, we’re on the rugby fields.

New to ultimate? Here’s your checklist!
-cleats (running shoes will be fine if you don’t have cleats yet)
-socks
-water
-a dark and a white shirt (NO GRAY! NOOOOOOOO GRAY! YOU WILL SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES!)
-a strong desire to be sexy

BRO Life 2010

BRO HO HO HO Life! BRO Life will be held on December 4th and 5th this year.  CSULB No Regrets Second Annual BRO Life (Best Regret of Life) Ultimate Frisbee Tournament. No Regrets is off to Colorado for Regionals

We had a great season so far as a still new and growing team.  The year so far has been building itself up to this moment.  We finished 7th at Regionals after we played some of the best games of ultimate against some of the best teams in the Section.  Already we’ve raised our national standings from 81st in the nation to 67th.  Colorado is just going to be another tournament under our belts to help us become a better team.  Lets bring it at Regionals and end the season with smiles.

Best Tournament of Your Life (BTOYL)

Announcing, CSULB is hosting the 3rd Annual BTOYL (Best Tournament of Your Life) Tournament, March 20-21. For the first time this tournament will host both Men’s and Women’s teams rather than just be a Men’s tournament. The current plan is to have 8 Women’s teams and 12 Open teams, though that is still subject to change depending on how many teams are interested. The bid cost is yet to be decided, but we will email you guys all the information soon.  Free housing can be provided for some teams if needed.  Please enter your bids as soon as possible.  Before March 3.

1. Team name
2. Team contact name, e-mail address, and phone number
3. Number of bids requesting
4. Whether or not your team would like housing (include approximate
number of players)

It’s that time of year! Joining and Renewing your UPA Membership

To become a UPA Member/Renew your membership:

1. Go to upa.org

2. Click on “Join” under the Members heading on the left column

3. Click “Join online” near the top of the page

4. If you’re renewing your membership: Input your email address and password and renew your membership.

If you’re signing up to be a member for the first time: click “Brand New Member Signup” link towards the bottom right of the page.

It costs $30 to become/renew your UPA membership, but it lasts a year and comes with the following (I got this list straight from upa.org):

• Membership packet with your card and thank-you gift
• Quarterly subscription to USA Ultimate Magazine
• 20% discount off Discraft discs (min. 50) for teams/leagues/events
• Ability to participate in UPA Coaching Corps. Certification

Practice Times for Spring 2010

The schedule is the same as last semester.

Monday and Wednesday: 3:30 pm-5:30 pm

Friday: 2:00-5:00

*However Pick up this semester was switched to Friday 5:00 till dark.  (so basically right after practice).
